Some phrases are common to several situations:

If you hear the question « Pourquoi ? » (why ?), start your answer with “Parce que » (because).

·        You will have to deal with an unexpected element, i.e. to answer a question that you will not have seen during the preparation time. Listen carefully to the question. Use « Pardon ? » or « Comment ?» to hear the question again (Only in emergencies!)
