Fruity Habits

SCENARIO

Fruity habits. That's what this project is about!

Experts think you should be eating at least three portions of fruit a day. It's not good enough to work your way through a sack of apples. Fruit can be divided into different colour groups:

  • Red
  • Green
  • Orange/Yellow
  • Blue/Purple/Brown

If you eat some from each group, you are bound to be eating a range of fruits.

You will check out whether you are eating enough fruit and how you compare with other students and find out what else you should be eating.

Your aim is to produce fruity recipes and other publications to persuade students and children to eat more fruit.

Party project
YEAR 9 PARTY ON PROJECT
SCENARIO

A group of Year 9 pupils and the ICT department are organising a fund raising party on the last day of term.  The ICT department will contribute towards the party by making ICT resources and facilities available for use as well as offering an interest free loan of £200.

The group have started planning and organising the event but there are still many issues that need to be resolved. The group also know that if they need more money they can ask for it in writing from the Head teacher.

You have been brought into the group as an ICT WIZZ KID to help produce some of the items required using ICT.
You must first create a new folder called PARTY ON in your Year 9 ICT folder. You will need to download and save the attachments in that folder. When you download these files make sure that you give them sensible filenames, as you develop and improve these files you can use "save as" and call them V1, V2 etc. This is a good way to show how you have improved and developed the documents. This is called versioning!
