Super stuff for the lead-up to the holidays.

  • Summer Holiday Plan is a website task. Students can build their own mini-website describing their plans for the summer, then download it to CD. It is very open-ended and can be used as classwork or homework. If you have not set website tasks before, you will be delighted at how easy it is to manage, and how motivating it is for the students.
  • The quizzes are geography-based, and come in standard and slow timings as well as three levels of difficulty. Here are the teachers' notes.
  • The survey is a great way to bring the class together, perhaps as a starter for a debate. It is especially useful if your classroom has a data projector. Teachers' Notes here.

What do you think? Holiday Survey (quality 57%)
This survey can be used to find out your class's opinions about what makes a good holiday. When everyone has finished, project the results on the whiteboard. You won't see who said what, but you will see what proportion of the class thinks what.
