Managing the cross-cut dialogue
We looked at a section of the text in which two or three lots of speech are 'cross-cut' together.  The staging of this was complex in many ways. You need to describe how you approached the task and found a solution. Think about what you were trying to communicate to the audience and what effects you were trying to create!!!
Montage of Jo and Judy's past life

You were asked to create and show a montage of scenes of about 20/30 secs each, to show what sort of relationship the two girls had in the past. You worked in groups and then showed your work to the group.

Answer the questions and remember to use detail and explanations of choices made with reasons for these choices.

Responding to a scenario of a death by drink driving
You were given this scenario:
" It is midnight. A woman is woken by the sound of the telephone. When she answers a voice says, Mrs Poulton, this is the police.... I’m afraid that your daughters Judy and Jo have been involved in a car accident."
 You had to  imagine yourselves in role as Mrs Jones and continue her end of the telephone conversation. We shared this as a whole group.
You were then given separate instructions. Name yourselves A & B. A is Mrs Jones after the telephone call. B is the police officer who must inform Mrs. Jones that one daughter, Jo died in the crash. We shared this as a group.
Answer the questions in as much detail as possible. State what ideas you initially had in order to complete the tasks. Remember to include drama vocabulary - eg monologue, direct address, downstage centre etc
